Great quality, nicely detailed with the beveled edges which add a rich nuance to our room. Solid glass and love the style it really added class to our house. The quality is excellent for a fixture of this price.
We didn't pay full retail which made it an even beter deal.

Replaced my old light happy I could find the same light. Makes my hallway look elegant . Has bright light to light hallway . The seller was very good the light was wrapped well to avoid breakage. It came on time .

doing some bath and hall renovations and needed just the right touch for the hall without getting into the really pricy lighting...we really liked this better than a lot of the higher priced lighting...my contractor installed, but I could have myself from the existing outlet...very very happy with the hall lighting now

simple but reasonably well made and very nice exterior coating; nice yellow-ish glow from the glass shade
update: this is a solid light but it used to be at a reasonable price of $65. the 60% increase to over $100 in a slow economy is hard to justify and should cause you to consider low priced designer lights

I am writing this review for anyone like me, who has a porch light WITHOUT a dawn to dusk sensor and has been trying to find an after-market screw on adapter to make it work like one so they won't have to invest in a new porch light like this one. Bottom line: Stop fighting it and just buy this thing already. I tried every screw on dawn to dusk adapter available and they all either didn't work well or stopped working after a short amount of time. In the end, I spent MORE than the cost of this porch light on all those failed attempts and finally just bit the bullet and bought this thing.
Suffice to say, it works great! Turns on at dusk and off by the time I wake up. Just as advertised. I also think it looks great and I love the yellow glow it gives off. I resist CFL bulbs because I hate their blueish tint, but because of the yellow shade this lamp comes with, it's almost as if you have a candle in the thing.

Love the look of this light. Very sturdy construction. The bronze is beautiful and so is the amber art glass. This light looks great with my Craftsman house. I bought two. One for my back door and one for my garage door. The photocell really makes these work well for security lights and because they use the energy efficient flourescent lamps, you don't have to worry about it adding too much to your electric bill.

I was so excited to get these, and I ordered the whole set to replace all the lighting in my house. All of the other lights have been wonderful, but these have let me down a bit. Why? Well, the way the 3 curling arms are built, it is very difficult to get them aligned enough to look right. The middle shaft first has to be straightened to it is perpendicular to the ceiling, and then each of the 3 arms takes some wiggling and maneuvering. Otherwise, they stick out funny or are too far from the glass. I originally ordered 5, but returned 3 of them in exchange for the Hardware House 543744 Berkshire 12-Inch by 5-1/2-Inch Ceiling Lighting Fixture Oil-Rubbed Bronze.
Also, a note about the whole set--many oil-rubbed bronze pieces have a sort of brushed look over all the metal work, but these lights only have the effect on the... Read more

I found a similar fixture at a local retail lamp store with the same iron work for $120. I was skeptical at first when I saw the price of this fixture, but it looks really great in our entry way. I'm very happy with my purchase.
I agree with another commenter regarding quality. The metal is thinner than others I've seen, but no one can tell since it's a ceiling fixture. At this price, I won't feel bad buying a new fixture every couple of years if styles change.
This light coordinates really well with the Bennington Collection Five Light Chandelier, which is in our dining room. I picked that up at 1/2 off sale at a local lamp store :)

We moved from a house to an apartment in a retirement community. We replaced 5 "institutional" looking florescent fixtures with these Berkshire ceiling fixtures. They look great and were VERY reasonable. I installed them myself, and added rheastat switches for a nice adjustable soft light when bright lighting is not needed.
