I bought two of these for a short hallway with an 11 foot ceiling. They were installed approximately 9 1/2 feet above the floor (which is travertine tile) and work and look great. The problem is that when I went to install the bulbs, my grip on the large glass canopy slipped - and I watched in slow motion as the thing fell nine feet and shattered all over my floor. I'd had them installed for less than one day.No big deal right? I'll just call Lamps Plus customer service and get a replacement - Well, It took two weeks to get an answer, and according to Lamps Plus, I can not order a replacement. To get a new piece, I am going to purchase a completely new pendant, and then throw everything but the glass shade in the trash. I understand that the shade is the "focal point" of the lamp, but one would think that a person would be able to order a replacement for a large, awkward, and very breakable glass piece that you have to remove and handle when installing/changing...
